So many of the best things in my life took me by surprise…
My relationship with my kids; it’s so unique and special with each of my girls.
My relationship with Julia; it’s something I thought was reserved for fairy tales.
My business; it’s taking off in a direction I never imagined at the start and I have the opportunity to really impact my medical profession.
But, that’s not to say that planning and goal setting doesn’t have its place.
I believe planning and goal setting moves you in a direction, and it’s that forward momentum that allows you to see these surprises that are the real magic.
Stay still and you probably won’t be surprised.
Move forward and the world opens up.
I can't remember a time in my life when I didn't have ambition.

In church the other day, the pastor gave a sermon that really stuck with me. He talked about two people.
Hope doesn’t mean pretending everything is okay.
