Entrepreneurs and doctors are similar in many ways.
One of those ways is the rate of burnout, and their response to it.
Both groups refuse to let burnout slow them down.
This means that to maintain performance people must dig deeper and deeper into mental, emotional, and spiritual reserves.
They drain themselves to their very core.
So recovery doesn’t just come from a holiday or a good night’s sleep.
It takes time.
The cup that is empty needs to be filled; kindly, slowly, with grace.
We often try to outrun the storm, emotionally, physically, spiritually.
We’re entering an age where machines do our thinking before we’ve even had a chance to try.
